While San Diego last week experienced warm, sunny Santa Ana-induced weather, economic development officials were in town trying to sell the cold climates of South Dakota, Canada and the like to executives who make decisions about where to locate their corporations’ next call centers or manufacturing plants.

The officials were exhibitors at the CoreNet Global Summit, which took place at the San Diego Convention Center from Nov. 16 to 20. CoreNet Global is a trade association for the corporate real estate industry.
