Guidewire Software, a provider of core systems to property/casualty insurers, announced that it has earned high marks in Celent’s recent 2010 Insurance Software Deal Trends report.
In addition to ranking among the top ten Traction Leaders, Guidewire was also recognized as a Leading Vendor in both Billing and Claims, according to company officials.
“Today’s Traction Index leaders continue to show that their past experience and in-depth knowledge of the insurance vertical can be beneficial for an insurer looking for an IT vendor provided solution to their needs,” says Mike Fitzgerald, Senior Analyst in Celent’s Insurance practice. “Among the participating vendors in our report, Guidewire Software’s ranking on Celent’s Traction Index puts them among the top IT vendors that should be considered by insurers.”
“We offer our congratulations to Guidewire Software for being named a leading vendor in both Billing and Claims in Celent’s Deal Trends 2010 report,” said Karen Monks, Analyst in Celent insurance practice. “This year it is evident that insurers value IT partners who understand their business strategy as well as their budgetary and operational needs. The down economy solidified several insurer/vendor relationships as insurers increasingly looked to their existing IT partners to meet their needs. Guidewire Software’s success in 2008 and 2009 highlights them as a trusted IT partner in today’s insurance market.”
Commenting on the recognition, Guidewire’s chief executive officer John Raguin said, “It is always gratifying to see the Guidewire team earn recognition for their hard work and tireless commitment to our customers’ ongoing success. We are especially pleased with our rankings in this year’s report. While we have previously been named a Leading Claims Vendor, this is the first year that we have also been recognized as a Leading Billing Vendor, which is quite exciting for us. Our thanks to Celent for producing the report, and to our clients for continuing to put their trust in our people and products.”
