When the Super Bowl comes to town, every hotel room seems to become a commodity.
The feeling is already strong in San Diego, which has close to 51,000 rooms and hosts the 2003 pro football championship game in January.
Between corporate groups and sports enthusiasts, an event like the Super Bowl makes demand for rooms skyrocket, and it might seem as if prices would follow suit.
