South Korea’s top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. (KSE:005380) said Thursday that its compact sports utility vehicle (SUV), the 2010 Tucson, has been named one of the safest vehicles in its category in the United States.
The vehicle, locally sold as the Tucson ix, received the highest marks on all test categories, including the new category of roof strength in a rollover, in a recent test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The Tucson was one of five small SUVs to be named the “top safety pick” along with Japanese automaker Subaru’s Forester, German automaker Volkswagen’s Tiguan, Honda’s Element and Chrysler’s Jeep Patriot, according to Hyundai.
“American customers are beginning to pay more attention to the safety features of vehicles. The company believes the test results will help greatly improve Hyundai’s brand image in the United States,” a Hyundai executive said.
Hyundai sold over 15,800 units of the Tucson in the United States this year, marking a steady increase in sales for the sixth consecutive month since the latest 2010 model was introduced there in December.
Make sure to compare insurance quotes because when a vehicle like the Tuscon has such a good safety rating, companies rates can differ and you could save hundreds of dollars.

Ok now this is kinda super super super sweet moments where really weird, but still plenty big stupid of reasons for it.
it indeed is the safest SUV ever. the safety features are the latest and the best. apart from that i also the outlook. my personal fav is the black tucson.
