Imagine Having $915M to Spend , UCSD Can

A campaign to generate funds for UC San Diego called Imagine What’s Next has raised $915 million since being launched in July 2000. During the 2005 fiscal year, $160.7 million in private donations were received.

Allene Wong, past student, has given $260,000 for endowed scholarships. Jerri-Ann and Gary Jacobs, also past students, have given $1 million to support fellowships in the Division of Social Sciences. The Swartz Foundation has given $12 million to support the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience at UCSD. The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation has given $24.5 million.
