Some positive activities observed in the insurance stocks last week at the Karachi stock exchange with more than 9 million shares traded together in life and non-life insurance sectors.
Volume leaders of the sector include Pak reinsurance with 4.7 million shares followed by Adamjee Insurance with 3.7 million shares.
Top gainers of the week include EFU General Insurance which increased by Rs3.58 to close at Rs51.82 and Central Insurance which was up by Rs2.76 to close at Rs55 while IGI Insurance lost Rs4.43 to close at Rs65.48 and American life insurance fell by Rs1.99 to close at Rs16.01 being the major losers of the week.
