The James Irvine Foundation Gives to Old Globe

The James Irvine Foundation has awarded the Old Globe Theatre a $750,000 grant to support programming efforts in southeastern San Diego. The nonprofit recently acquired a technical center that serves as the springboard to develop an artistic hub in the community. “While the technical center enhances the theater’s capacity to design and build sets, equipment and costumes, it also offers the opportunity for the Globe to become a vital cultural resource in these communities,” said Lou Spisto, executive producer.
